To drive a truck (from Class C) or bus (Class D) commercially, you need code 95 in addition to the licence. It proves the professional-driver qualification under the German Professional Drivers Qualification Act (BKrFQG).
The accelerated basic qualification comprises 140 hours of theory and practice and ends with a written exam before the IHK (Chamber of Commerce). Topics include efficient & safe driving, load securing and the social regulations in freight or passenger transport.
